Uzuri Couture @ ModeFabriek 2012

12:03 AM

Time for MORE African influences in the fashion industry!

On Sunday the 22nd of January the 4 designers La Femme Chic, Deveney, Nawal and Uzuri Couture will be competing with each other during the final round of the
 Music & Fashion Battle.

The 4, discovered by MAFB designers have been working hard in the recent months on a new collection.

The standard is on a high level, their collections will be assessed by Else van der Plas (Premsela), Ronald Kahn (Cool Cat), Angelique Hoorn (Angelique Hoorn Management), Caroline Krouwel (Modefabriek), Steven Dahlberg (JFK Magazine) and Mariana Verkerk (Holland’s Next Top Model). The presentation of the show will be in de hands of the fabulous presenter & stylist Maik de Boer

The final edition is not only the final battle for the designers but also for the four winning models from last year.
4 models have also been selected back in 2011 at every edition of the MAFB.

Samantha Jackson, Ladonna Danso, Leila Aigbedion and Kim Mannaert will walk in the final edition of the battle and compete against each other on the runway,
while wearing the clothes of the last 4 finalist of MAFB.

All models have been prepared for the battle by runway coach Caroline of Leerdam.

MAFB has put together with the jury a nice coaching package for the ultimate winners.

For the designers, this will be a prize of Premsela worth 2.250 euro and the opportunity to work as a styling assistant for a day at an editorial shoot by Angelique Hoorn Management.

Clinics Styling offers the winning model a portfolio shoot and a VIP access to the ModelConvention of Mariana Verkerk. which will be held on the 25th of February.

Unfortunately I won’t be able to be at the battle itself,
but my spirit will most DEFENITLY be in the room to support my sister from another country.

And off course I will be at the fashion fair on the 23rd of January to support her even more!

She has come a LONG way & off course I’m proud of her.

Uzuri is what the Dutch fashion scene NEEDS.

It’s time to mix our roots with this urban & modern society we are living in.
